AAEM Student Ambassador Program
Application deadline: August 2, 2021 at midnight.
The AAEM is seeking two enthusiastic and responsible student ambassadors to strengthen the visibility of the organization and help facilitate the Academy’s mission to promote optimal health through prevention and safe and effective treatments of the causes of illness through continuing education for healthcare providers. Ambassadors will work with AAEM leadership to assist in the planning, coordination and execution of the AAEM Student and Resident Program.

- Virtual “lunch chats” exclusively for students and residents to address the different paths to Environmental Medicine.
Obligations:
- Be currently enrolled in a medical school or residency program
- Be available from October 14-17 to attend the AAEM Fall 2021 Annual Meeting in San Diego, CA and attend the student/resident committee meeting, but not a requirement.
- You will be assigned specific duties throughout the AAEM Meeting and will be free to attend the rest of the conference.
- Support presenters and leadership with sessions
- Monitor the session rooms
- Facilitate transitions between lectures
- Share on social media educational pearls from sessions
- Engage with participants and other students and residents during the meeting
- Be responsive and flexible to the needs of the Program Committee
- Assist with the brainstorming and implementation of AAEM social media posts between meetings
- Work with the AAEM Leadership Team to develop the student-resident program including what offerings students and residents would like to see from the AAEM
Note:
The cost for conference registration, travel expenses (max $500) and hotel (Wednesday night to Saturday night) will be covered by AAEM.
